The intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) program at Texas Health and Science University, is a stand-alone certificate program, which does not award semester credit hours, but awards a Certificate of Completion. The University accepts candidates for admission three (3) times per year, in January, May, and September. Our ESL students are expected to progress through the program within two semesters each of 15 weeks of instruction. Initial assessment of English language proficiency is required for admission to the course of study with the TOEFL Internet based test (iBT) Test of English as a Foreign Language standardized examination.

Texas Health and Science University believes that the future is in the ability of our practitioners to be able to practice on a global basis. We welcome International Students and we have many students from other countries currently enrolled. The application for International Students may be downloaded using the link above or you may find more information here.
If you are a Transfer or International Student, it is recommended to start the application process as soon as possible before your desired semester of entrance as it does take slightly longer to process these types of applications.
