Licensure Facts
After completing the acupuncture and herbal medicine program at THSU, students are eligible to apply for a license in Texas after passing the national board exams at NCBAHM.

Admissions Requirements
- Minimum 2.0 GP
- 60 College Credits
- From an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (equivalency transcript evaluation to determine this for foreign transcripts).
- 36 of the 60 in General Education and credits in Humanities, Math & Sciences, and Social Sciences (at least one course in each field) – Learn more.
Graduation Requirements
- Complete 155 credits
- Acupuncture and Related Didactic Studies: 49 Credits
- Biomedical Didactic Studies (Western Medical Science): 35 Credits
- Herbal Didactic Studies: 31 Credits
- Clinical Training: 32 Credits
- Ethics, Business, and Communication Didactic Studies: 8 Credits
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Complete the program within 15 attempted trimesters
